PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT - 06 DECEMBER 2025
With effect 15 December 2025, as per MEFT and About Africa Co (Concession holder) announcement, the following changes will be applied to all visitors to Deadvlei/Sossusvlei from the 2x4 Parking area in our UNESCO Namib Sand Sea World Heritage Site to the 4x4 zone.
️ NO self drives (even with their own 4x4) will be allowed past the 2x4 parking area. These visitors will have to make use of the shuttle services
ONLY NAMIBIAN NTB REGISTERED lodge and tour operator/facilitator 4X4 vehicles will be allowed to travel through to the Deadvlei and Sossusvlei 4x4 zone/parking lots. Effective January 2026 round trip shuttle price will be N$260pp and N$130pc under 12 years old. There is still discussions and hopefully SADC rates will be on offer shortly. The swipe facilities are still available at the 2x4 boom and shuttle gate for ypur convenience.
As per press announcement, @About Africa co accept prebookings, payment and are looking at further methods to make the visit to Deadvelo and Sossusvlei effortless and streamlined.
